RECYCLE your old Christmas tree to help raise funds for Salisbury Hospice Charity.

The charity is once again running its tree collection scheme in conjunction with charity Just Helping.

In return for a donation, your tree will be collected and recycled.

The trees are chipped and recycled as animal bedding or turned into compost.

Ninety per cent of the money raised (after costs) will go to Salisbury Hospice Charity and 10 per cent will go to Serve On, a humanitarian response charity.

The collection runs between January 8 and 10 and has expanded this year. The collection will be serving postcodes SP1, SP2, SP3, SP4, SP5, SP6, SP7 and SP9.

To register visit charityxmastreecollection.com or call 01722 416353 by January 4.

This year’s collection is sponsored by Boatwrights.
