A NEW month (and year!) means a sparkling new theme for the Journal’s camera club.

Entering 2022, the theme for budding photographers in January will be ‘A New Dawn’, to celebrate new beginnings and life, and, in the more literal sense, sunrise and the start of the day.

Judged by the editorial team, the winning images will be published in the paper at the end of the month.

Meanwhile, the gallery above shows some of our favourite pictures from the last few days.

Camera clubbers here have been busy exploring nature across Christmas and New Year’s, capturing frosty landscapes, animals in action and cloudy skies of pastel blues and yellows.
