A DRIVER was taken to hospital after a car ended up on its roof on the A30 near Ugford.

Wiltshire Police were called to the scene shortly before 4.30am today (Wednesday January 12) to a single-vehicle collision.

The female driver is believed to have sustained minor injuries and was taken to Salisbury District Hospital. 

Two fire crews from Salisbury attended the incident and cut the driver free from the vehicle.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “Police, fire and ambulance all attended and the female driver of the car was taken to Salisbury District Hospital.

"She is believed to have suffered minor injuries.

“The vehicle was recovered and the road was clear by 6.30am.”

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service added: "Two crews attended from Salisbury and found a car on its roof. The female driver was cut free by firefighters and was handed into the care of the ambulance service."
