CASES heard by Salisbury and Swindon Magistrates' courts:

DOREEN ANNE DALY, aged 67, of Lower Road, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to permitting another person to use a vehicle without the appropriate policy of insurance. The incident was recorded along Exeter Street in Salisbury on April 24, 2021. Daly was fined £150 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £110. Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

SHANNON CHEREECE LOWE, aged 27, of Bissington Close, Old Sarum, was found guilty of driving without due care and attention on May 21, 2021. Lowe was fined £440 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £44 and costs of £90. Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

PHOEBE VIOLET VIRGINIA SOUTHARD, aged 19, of Grants Road, Enford, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour while drunk in Salisbury on November 2, 2021. She was fined £50 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34. The defendant’s time spent in custody was considered time served for the offence.

MATTHEW AARON MARTIN MILLER, aged 30, of Saxon Meadow, Downton, pleaded guilty to driving without the appropriate policy of insurance. Miller was caught driving a Vauxhall Zafira along Devizes Road in Salisbury on November 22, 2020. He also possessed a punch knife and a quantity of cannabis. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and costs of £400. He was banned from driving for six months and must complete 200 hours of unpaid work.

KEITH LANGLEY MILLS, aged 44, of Levell Court, Ludgershall, pleaded guilty to intentionally causing harassment, alarm or distress to a police officer, and assaulting them, on June 1, 2021. The court found the offence to be “motivated by hostility towards people of a particular sexual orientation”. On the same day Mills assaulted a prison transport officer and intentionally caused harassment, alarm or distress to another, both in Melksham. On August 10, 2021, Mills failed to surrender to Melksham Police Station, having been released on bail. These offences were committed after Mills was conditionally discharged back in April. The defendant was fined £250 and was ordered to pay compensation of £150. He must attend activities and appointments as instructed by an officer.

KIREN LEE OSBORNE, aged 29, of Honeysuckle Grove, Cardiff, pleaded guilty to assault by beating in Salisbury on September 4, 2020. He also damaged goods belonging to the victim, including an iPhone. Osborne was committed to prison for two weeks and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128.

IGNAS LAURINAVICIUS, aged 30, of Fowlers Road, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On September 30, 2021, Laurinavicius was driving a Vauxhall Astra along the A338 in Salisbury with 45 microgrammes of alcohol recorded in 100ml of breath. He was fined £369 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £37 and costs of £85. He was banned from driving for 12 months.

LAURENCE STEPHEN BOURKE, aged 71, of Johnson Road, Bromley, pleaded guilty to exceeding a speed of 40mph while driving through Amesbury on January 21, 2021. He was fined £180 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £110. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

SIMON BENJAMIN CORBETT, aged 56, of Loves Wood, Mortimer Common, Reading, pleaded guilty to exceeding a speed of 70mph while driving along the A303 in Fonthill Bishop, Salisbury, on March 29, 2021. He was fined £1,000 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £100 and costs of £110. He was banned from driving for 40 days.
