Covid cases have dropped in every Wiltshire area, as the Omicron variant finally shows signs of peaking. 

But there are 11 Wiltshire areas where Covid case rates are still higher than the UK average, in the latest update from the UK Coronavirus Tracker. 

Overall, the latest seven-day Covid rate for Wiltshire recorded up to January 14 is at 752.5 per 100,000 people which is lower than the UK average for this period, 941.3. 

The 11 Wiltshire areas where the case rate per 100,000 people was higher than the UK average for this period are:

  1. Laverstock, Bodenham & Coombe Bissett (1200.1)

  2. Durrington & Bulford (1121.5)

  3. Trowbridge South East (1103.6)

  4. Warminster West & North (1084.3)

  5. Royal Wootton Bassett Town (1081.4)

  6. Trowbridge East (1064.0)

  7. Warminster East (1054.1)

  8. Melksham North (1048.8)

  9. Larkhill, Shrewton & Bulford Camp (1027.0)

  10. Tidworth & Ludgershall (1007)

  11. Salisbury Bemerton (941.5)
