A Wilton woman has been temporarily disqualified from driving, after being caught over the limit on Christmas Day.

Carey Lyons, 53, will appear at Salisbury Magistrates Court next month, after driving over the limit last Christmas.

She was found to have driven on Netherhampton Road after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it - 98 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - exceeded the limit.

She has been issued with an interim disqualification from driving, and has been remanded on unconditional bail until appearing in court on February 17.

In the court on January 14, she pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle with an alcohol level above the limit.
