A CONSTRUCTION company was fined £70,000 after exposing employees to risks to their health and safety.

Trevor Cook Construction Limited failed to ensure that the replacement of roof sheets near Amesbury was properly planned and safe.

The incident, happening on or before May 22, 2019, put those onsite at risk.

Last year Swindon Magistrates' Court heard this made the company guilty of an offence contrary to section 33(1)(c) and schedule 3A of the Health and Safety at Work etc act, 1974.

Indicating a plea of guilty, Trevor Cook, based in Marlborough, was fined £70,000 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £190.
