A CHANDLER'S Ford man has been disqualified from driving for six months after he was caught speeding in Wales.

Andrew Neal, 28, of Ormesby Drive, was clocked doing 37mph in a 30-zone whilst driving a Seat Leon in Cardiff on May 3 last year.

Neal admitted the charge and was fined £200 with a £34 victim surcharge and £110 costs.

He was banned from the road for six months because of repeat offending.

Magistrates did not find Neal would suffer exceptional hardship as a result of the ban.

The court record stated: "The court heard he lives in rented accommodation and this could change albeit not straight away. This is a high burden to prove exceptional hardship in this case the defendant could finish work a little earlier and the company should be flexible to allow this so he can use public transport to get home."
