A man has been fined over £400 after being caught drink driving in Tidworth. 

Delesters Browne, 31, of Thorney Island, Emsworth, was caught driving a BMW on Bulford Road on December 15, 2021, when his alcohol level was over the legal limit. 

There was 42 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of Browne's breath, which is over the legal limit of 35 microgrammes per 100 millilitres.

He pleaded guilty to the charge at Salisbury Magistrates' Court on January 7, and was fined £323 as well as an additional £34 to fund victim services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. 

The total Browne must pay by February 3, 2022 is £442. 

Browne was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months, to be reduced by 13 weeks if by August 6, 2022, he completes an approved course.
