TODAY members of Wiltshire Council will be determining whether more than 90 homes can be built on the edge of Salisbury, near the hospital.

In a southern area planning committee this afternoon, February 3, councillors will be discussing an application for 95 dwellings on land east of Odstock Road and to the south of Rowbarrow.

Put forward by Savills, the new development is to include garages, car barns and cycle storage alongside the properties.

Associated public open space, play areas and landscape planting are also promised in the application.

An application scheme for 108 dwellings was submitted back in 2020, which was objected to by Salisbury City Council.

Following archaeological related issues, and consideration of consultee responses and third party concerns, the scheme was reduced to 101 dwellings, and a further revision reduced the scheme to 95 dwellings.

Today's meeting, reviewing the freshly adjusted proposal, will be held at 3pm in Salisbury Guildhall.
