LOCAL music acts have a chance to win two days in a recording studio as a new talent search is launched.

The Chapel Live! and Salisbury Live have teamed up to launch the new competition. The Salisbury Live Sound Off is open to original music of all styles.

The competition, also in association with Tunnel Rat Studios and The Music Room, takes place at the Brown Street music venue over four heats starting on February 24, with the final on March 25.

Each heat and final will be judged by a panel of industry professionals, critiquing the performances of the acts competing on the night. The heats take place on February 24, March 3, March 10, March 17 and the final on March 25.

Prizes up for grabs include two days recording in a professional studio, £300 worth of music vouchers, headline slots at Chapel Live and support slots at Salisbury Live 2022.

Salisbury Live 2022 is set to run from June 2 to June 25, including Salisbury Live in the Square on June 17.
