A SKIN therapist who works in a Bulford salon has been shortlisted for a special hair and beauty award.

Natalie Greenhalgh will be representing The Beauty Lounge at the upcoming English Hair and Beauty Awards 2022, in the Skin Clinic of The Year category.

The salon, which provides many advanced skin treatments as well as aesthetics and semi-permanent make up, will find out if they will be crowned winners at the ceremony taking place in March in Heathrow.

The awards are honoured by Creative Oceanic but voted for by the public, gathering and celebrating hair and beauty professionals from across the country.

Describing the nomination as "the highlight of my career", Natalie said: “I cannot believe that I have been shortlisted in such a huge category, to have made it through 60,000 nominations means the absolute world to me."

Also the southwest educator for leading UK brand Skinbase, Natalie added: "We have not let the pandemic bring us down and we have continued to strive forward, keep educating ourselves and keep providing nothing but the best for our clients.”

An English Hair and Beauty Awards 2022 spokesperson said: "The Covid-19 pandemic presented unique challenges for the hair and beauty industry with many businesses being forced to close and various restrictions being in place.

"Many businesses however have successfully adapted to the new challenges the industry has faced since the pandemic started."

The spokesperson said the awards aim to “shine the spotlight on the talented professionals that have shown great passion, commitment and innovation for the beauty industry, who often don’t get the recognition they deserve."

They added: “With fierce competition this year, we would like to wish to the finalists the best of luck and we can’t wait to welcome our guests and deliver another enjoyable event."

Other accolades to be awarded during the ceremony include Beauty Salon of the Year, Hair Salon of the Year, Nail Technician of the Year and Stylist of the Year.
