THE social media accounts of a Salisbury LGBTQ+ events group were hacked into last night.
This morning, February 9, organisers behind Salisbury Pride UK were made aware of the activity affecting their Facebook and Instagram accounts.
In a statement the team said: "The event organisers at Salisbury Pride UK are aware than some of their social media channels have been hacked throughout the night.
"The channels which are currently affected are Facebook and Instagram.
"The event organisers are working with the social media providers to try and resolve this issue."
At 9am today the group announced that access to the two platforms had been restored.
Work is underway to update the Facebook page and troubleshoot how to restore its page name.
