Salisbury Journal:

Want a relaxed, fun and memorable evening out? Tinga has you covered. This resturant and bar will transport you to Mexico City without you having to leave Salisbury with its quirky decor and moreish dishes.

Even if you can't get a booking for Valentine's Day itself, as it is recommended to book well in advance, it is worth the wait for a romantic evening or fiesta with friends.

#2 Allium

6-7 Ox Row Market Square, Salisbury SP1 1EU England

Salisbury Journal:

This restaurant is perfect if you're going for the 'wow' factor. Serving British cuisine with a modern twist, this independent, family-run restaurant prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere and delicious dinners.

Situated in the heart of Salisbury, close to the cathedral, it is a great place to start your evening.

#3 The Chapter House

9-13 St. Johns Street, Salisbury SP1 2SB England

Salisbury Journal:

This traditional pub is perfect for a date, and even has a three-course Valentine's Menu running between February 11 and 14.

For those who enjoy their meal with a taste of history, the building itself is thought to be around 800 year old with some of the original features are still intact.

Only a stone's throw from Salisbury Cathedral, if anyone is travelling from out of town for their evening out then being both a pub and hotel it is worth a stopover.

#4 Cafe Diwali

90 Crane Street, Salisbury SP1 2QD England

Salisbury Journal:

For a fun evening, full of life, flavours and colours, Cafe Diwali with its beautifully presented dishes is a great choice. With a huge range of options for vegetarians and vegans it is a win for both meat eaters and plant eaters.

Started by chef Muhammed Rasheed, this independent restaurant has a great, cosy atmosphere and the food never disappoints, as is clear from its shining reviews.

#5 Pizza Venti

140 Fisherton St, Salisbury, Salisbury SP2 7QT England

They do say that Italian is one of the languages of love, and what's the best way to celebrate love? Food. So Italian food is a great start to any night with loved ones, or potential partners.

Pizza Venti is Trip Advisor's most highly recommended Italian resturant in the city, and for good reason. Its woodfired pizzas are made from a traditional Italian recipe, made daily and grown in a lengthy process, according to the owners.

If you don't feel like going out at all, that's ok as they deliver!
