Two men have pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children and possessing animal porn pictures.

Raymond Christopher John Williams, 44, and Daryl Patrick Daffin, 57, admitted the charges at Salisbury Magistrates Court today (Friday February 11).

Williams, of Cobbett Place, Warminster, pleaded guilty to five charges.

Three of these referred to the making of indecent photographs of a child between February 2019 and November 2020, in categories A, B and C.

He also pleaded guilty to possessing five pornographic images "which portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an act of intercourse with a live or dead animal, namely a dog and a fish, which were grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character and a reasonable person looking at the image would think that any such person or animal was real". 

The fifth offence was being in possession of a prohibited image of a child on June 30 2019.

These offences all took place in Warminster.

Daffin, of Ushers Court, Trowbridge, pleaded guilty to three charges of making indecent images of children, between November 2015 and May 2021, including still and moving images of category A, B and C, as well as being in possession of a prohibited still image of a child on May 25 2021.

He also possessed 14 moving images of "a person performing an act of intercourse or oral sex with a live unknown animal" on the same day.

Daffin also pleaded guilty to possessing a laptop and three USB sticks without making them available for inspection by a police officer, which he was prohibited from doing by a previous sexual offences prevention order made by Salisbury Crown Court.

These offences all took place in Trowbridge.

They have both been released on unconditional bail, before appearing in Salisbury Crown Court for sentencing on March 11.

Before this, they must report to a police station within three days, provide regular addresses to the police, and notify police if they are staying somewhere with someone under the age of 18.
