A SALISBURY salon is celebrating its relocation to the former Starbucks site.

The Hair Extension Cave, currently on Fisherton Street, is transforming what was the coffee shop chain into its new home, due to open next month.

Talking about relocating, owner Molly Cook said the business has "outgrown" its current premises, as with an increase in products and the training academy there isn't enough space.

She added the new site is "an amazing location", spread across three floors.

"[Fisherton Street] was perfect five years ago, but we've got so much going on now," she said.

"It's just going to be bigger, better and a lot more glamorous, we're very excited to get in there."

Molly started her career in a shed in her back garden, but as she gained more and more customers she decided it was time to take her craft to the next level.

After a stint in Brown Street, the Hair Extension Cave took its well known spot near the train station, which Molly confessed she couldn't afford at the time.

"We went with it, and eventually it was paying for itself," she said.

Molly said she viewed the Poultry Cross site around two years ago but it was quickly snapped off the market.

After the Covid-19 pandemic and nearly agreeing to a unit on Churchfields however, Molly was offered the coffee shop site once more.

She said: "I was about to sign the lease for a unit in Churchfields, I wasn't overly happy about it but I just thought I could make it look amazing.

"That very day I had a call that the other shop had become available, and I had to take it, I just thought it had to mean something."

Molly and the team hope to open the new space in March.

"We're just really looking forward to being in the centre of the city and through this, we hope to get as much support as possible from the local community, that would be amazing," she added.
