A house in Old Sarum has had its roof tiles blown off as high winds continue to batter Salisbury.

A mum-of-three says tiles are being blown away from her neighbour's roof on Castle Well Drive.

"If someone walks past, they're going to get killed," she warned.

A red weather warning for wind is currently in place in parts of south Wiltshire as storm Eunice brings gales of up to 90mph.

An amber warning is in place for most of Salisbury, though strong winds are causing severe disruption including roads blocked by fallen trees and power outages.

Bus services have been suspended indefinitely.

"Houses are owned by a housing association, we've phoned the emergency line because if someone walks past and gets hit, they're going to get killed."

In a message on its website, Aster Communities, which owns the properties, says the company will carry out emergency-only repairs today, with priority given to vulnerable customers and urgent works.

The Met Office warning will be in place until 9pm today.
