A MAN has been left in a life-threatening condition after a serious assault in Salisbury.
Police say the incident happened in the early hours of this morning (Sunday February 20) and the victim sustained a serious head injury and was taken to hospital.

Officers responded with the ambulance service at around 3am on New Canal.
It is believed that an altercation involving a group of around 15 men took place.
A statement from Wiltshire Police said: "We responded to the incident along with the ambulance service at approximately 3am on New Canal.
"It is understood an altercation took place involving a group of around 15 men, with the victim suffering a serious head injury and was taken to hospital.
"The victim’s family have been informed and are being provided specialist support from our officers.
"Our enquiries, including checking all local CCTV, are ongoing, but we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or any taxi drivers who may have picked up people from this location shortly after the assault took place.
"We’d also like to speak to anyone who may have dash cam footage from the area from before, during or after the time of this incident that could assist officers with their enquiries."
Anyone with information is asked to call Wiltshire Police on 101.
