A CRANE had to be brought in to remove a tree that fell onto a block of flats in Salisbury.
The tree, which fell onto Wyld House on Tollgate Road, was pulled from its roots during the strong winds brought by Storm Eunice on Friday.
A Wyld House resident described hearing an "extremely loud bang".
She told the Journal on Friday: "I heard something like I've never heard in my life. I lived in Romania before where we have earthquakes and I've never heard this thing in my life. It was boom, boom, boom and the block was shaking."
