Many groups in Salisbury are collecting for Ukrainian refugees, as more than two million people have fled the country due to the Russian invasion.
Here is a round-up of where and what you can donate in and around Salisbury.

Tea and cake sale
When and where to donate: Pupils at Hale Primary School are running a cake, tea and coffee sale tomorrow afternoon (Friday March 11) at Hale Village Hall to raise money for Ukraine
Head to Toe no longer accepting donations
Nail and beauty salon Head to Toe, on Winchester Street, is no longer accepting donations
Salisbury Investment Casting no longer accepting donations
Salisbury Investment Casting, at Dinton Business Park, is no longer accepting donations.
Shoebox appeal
When and where to donate: The deadline is Saturday (March 12), with collection points at:
- The Wood Bar, Parkwood Health Club, London Rd
- The Wood Bar, Barista Coffee Bar, Victoria Park Middle of The Park, Salisbury
- Noc's Box toy shop, Blandford
- Ginger Viking bar, Blandford
What to donate: shoe boxes for children with cuddly toys, dolls, toy cars, small musical instruments, skipping ropes, balls, small puzzles, pens, pencils, sharpeners, crayons, felt tips, writing pads or notebooks, colouring and picture books, hat, scarf, gloves, socks
Nadder Centre and Five Rivers
When and where to donate:
Nadder Centre, Tisbury: Wednesday March 9 from 5pm-9pm; Thursday March 10 from 7am-1pm and 5pm-9pm
Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre: Friday March 11 from 9am-8pm; Saturday March 12 from 9am-4pm
What to donate: paracetamol, sterile dressings, thermal blankets, medical gloves, First Aid kits, surgical spirit, tourniquets, bandage scissors, surgical gloves, surgical glue, fleece jackets/ body warmers, power Banks for mobile phones, sleeping bags, camping mats, pop up tents, walkie talkies, batteries, binoculars, flashlights, new thermoses, long-life food (vacuum packed or dried), energy bars, cereals (wheat, corn, buckwheat, oats), canned food ie. ready meals, nuts, balaclava (snoods and winter hats), trekking boots, new underwear, thermal vests and bottoms, thermal socks, nappies, wipes, baby formula/ milk, baby/ kids medication, toothpastes, toothbrushes, sanitary products, razors, soap bars
Anything to note: They are not accepting any clothing other than what is listed, and please check quality of items before donating
Clearway Crafts
When and where to donate? Clearway Craft Unit, Clearway Garage, A30 London Road, Firsdown, open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm, and Sunday 10.30am-4pm
What to donate: sanitary items, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorants, cotton buds, soaps, paracetamol, ibuprofen, multivitamins, hair brushes, hair clips, hand creams, face wipes
Armishaws Removals
When and where to donate: Armishaws Removals, Netherhampton Road, from Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4pm
What to donate: new underwear, toiletries, sanitary products, nappies, wet wipes, toys, colouring books, pens, crayons, first aid supplies – bandages, etc., baby food, torches, batteries, long-life food (such as tins, pasta), instant foods, thermos flasks and blankets
Salvation Army
Salisbury Salvation Army, on Salt Lane, is open this week from Thursday to Sunday to accept financial gifts for Ukraine.
