THE winners of this month’s camera club competition can now be revealed.
For April the Journal’s camera club members were challenged to capture scenes in black and white.
From wildlife to landmarks, people to transport, entries have been flocking in over the last few weeks.
Judged by the editorial team, first place was awarded to Terry Waldron for his majestic shot of a locomotive running through the Wylye Valley.
The photo was praised for its range of textures and depth, as well as being an image fit for a postcard.
Stuart Sneddon was granted second place for his picture of Stonehenge, the world-famous landmark not being greeted with the usual tourist crowd.
‘The Fantastic Mr Fox’ by Annette Gregory was awarded third place, for capturing the close up beauty of the animal, often missed as glimpses of foxes can be so rare.
The gallery above showcases just some of the other monochrome-inspired pictures submitted.
