FAST food restaurant KFC has spoken out about its intentions to come to Salisbury.

Following rumours and speculation, the American-based chain has told the Journal it hopes to come to the city, but nothing is confirmed as of yet.

KFC previously revealed it had set its sights on Salisbury as an area to open a drive-thru service, labelling it as a target location.

Today, May 3, a KFC spokesperson said: “We love Salisbury, and we’re hoping to be winging our way there soon.

"Nothing confirmed yet but watch this space!”

At the moment the nearest KFC is in Solstice Park in Amesbury, where a Taco Bell is currently being built.
