Letter from Peter M G Hime, Salisbury
THERE have been recently adverse comments in the Journal regarding our local NHS.
The experience of many users of our health service differs from those reports.
My experience over the last six months has been of a service nothing less than exemplary.
I have recently had successful major surgery for cancer of the prostate, as well as four additional unrelated, medical procedures.
My cancer, from diagnosis to operation, was carried out four weeks from the original discovery.
My procedures and the follow up care, necessary for ensuring a successful outcome, both within Salisbury District Hospital and Southampton General Hospital together with all the support staff at the Millstream Medical Centre, has been excellent.
All concerned should be congratulated, they have my grateful thanks.
