TIDWORTH Town Football Club have signed a historic lease of 30 years with Tidworth Town Council that secures its future at the club’s Humber Lane pitches.

The 30-year lease will allow the football club to access grant funding to provide a club house.

Over £75,000 of seed funding will be provided by Tidworth Town Council to help with the new club house project.

Mark Connolly, mayor of Tidworth, is “very pleased” to have secured a future for the town’s youth football and the hundreds of boys and girls of all ages that play for the club.

He added: “The lease does allow the football club to hire pitches to other local clubs where possible as the council is keen that the site is utilised by other clubs and organisations.”
