POLICE say "up to 50 used and discarded cannisters" were found in Amesbury parks, following reports of people using nitrous oxide.
Nitrous oxide, known as Nos or laughing gas, is a colourless gas sold in canisters, usually inhaled using a balloon.
The local neighbourhood team says the cannisters were found at Bonnymead Park and the Glenn Collier Skatepark.
Following the finds, a police spokesperson said: "We know that it is very often young people who are using nitrous oxide and we want to make parents aware of this issue and make sure they are speaking to their children about the dangers of drugs.
"You can find more information about nitrous oxide and the associated risk that it poses to those who inhale it, by going to the Talk to Frank website."
