A CRITICAL incident has been declared at Salisbury District Hospital because of no power to some parts of the site.

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust made the announcement today, May 20, at 12.30pm.

While the supply is stabilised there may be an impact on elective services.

Despite this, patients are asked to attend appointments as normal unless contacted directly by the hospital team.

An internal critical incident was declared at the hospital at the end of last month, triggered by an increasing number of ambulance delays, the number of patients who had a delayed discharge and the number of patients waiting in excess of 12 hours to be admitted.
