STONEHENGE has been illuminated with images of the Queen to celebrate her 70 years on the throne.
This week marks the Platinum Jubilee for Queen Elizabeth II, and the world famous English Heritage landmark has kickstarted the festivities early.
Images of Her Majesty from each decade of her reign are being displayed on the stones.
The charity wanted to use the iconic monument to congratulate the Queen on becoming the first British monarch to commemorate a Platinum Jubilee.
Street parties, village fetes, live entertainment and more will be taking place across the country from Thursday, as people use the four-day bank holiday weekend to join in the royal occasion.
