Andrew David Scott, of Pound Lane in Burley, was sentenced by West Hampshire Magistrates' Court on April 7 after being found guilty of the offence which happened on March 14 last year.
Court documents state that he was driving a Nissan X-Trail on Pound Lane and had 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, which exceeded the prescribed limit.
The 43-year-old was also fined £660 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £66 as well as court costs of £620 - bringing the total to £1,346.
