A teenager was allegedly threatened and later kicked and punched multiple times in Fordingbridge.

Police say the incident happened yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, May 31).

It is reported that a 15-year-old boy was verbally threatened by a set of benches on Round Hill, just outside of the Salvation Army building by a group of teenagers.

The same boy was allegedly assaulted outside of Tesco Express on Salisbury Street by the same group of young people.

These incidents occurred between 1.30pm and 2pm.

Police also say that a further assault took place at the Recreational Ground at around 2.15pm - behind the club house – where he was kicked and punched multiple times.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "As part of our enquiries, two 16-year old-boys from Fordingbridge were arrested on suspicion of assault. They have since been released on conditional bail until Tuesday, June 28.

"Police are continuing to carry out enquiries in the local area in relation to these incidents. Were you in the area at the time? Did you see what happened? Perhaps you have dash-cam footage?"

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward and anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference number 44220215886.
