SALISBURY Pride will soon be returning for its annual celebration and in preparation, a new shop at 53 Fisherton Street will open on Saturday June 11.

Selling Pride-related merchandise including flags, hats, beach towels, sunglasses, shoelaces, and bespoke Salisbury Pride mugs, customers can also order Pride t-shirts from the samples there.

Cllr Caroline Corbin who is one of the organisers said: “The shop is more than a retail space; it is a focal point for the run-up to the festival and will help raise funds for the future.

“I hope it will be a cross-generational space where people can pop in to find out more about the LGBTQ community and to hopefully, dispel myths.”

The plans for the Salisbury Pride UK festival are going well and the headline acts will be announced in the next few weeks.

The two hosts have just been confirmed as Dixie Normous Drag Artist and Aura Jay.

Tickets are free for the event and can be obtained on the website. VIP tickets are available which provide a special seating area with a good view of the stage and a bespoke bar.

Sponsored by The Hair Extension Cave, the shop will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 4pm. More information about the shop and the Salisbury Pride UK festival is available on the website.
