Here, you’ll find a unique learning opportunity featuring a brilliant mix of motivated students, dedicated staff and fantastic facilities, all of which make Peter Symonds an exciting and positive place to study.

Come and see for yourself at one of our Open Evenings, taking place on Wednesday and Thursday, July 6 and 7, 2022. You’ll be able to visit the campus, inspect the facilities and talk to staff and current students about what makes Peter Symonds College such an extraordinary place to study.

Our teachers are passionate about their subjects, inspiring students to achieve outstanding outcomes. Our wide range of courses are adapted to our students’ strengths, needs and ambitions. Many students take the Extended Project Qualification to allow them to study an area of their choice in significant depth.

Kirshna Khullar, student, said: “I have gained a lot of additional insight to specific areas of my subjects, furthered by activities like HE+, which helped me to go beyond what is taught to us.

"I would recommend Peter Symonds to any student. It is just fantastic, and I truly am lucky to be here.”

We welcome all students and are proud of the award-winning support we provide. Lunchtime workshops, a personal tutor and one-to-one sessions ensure students get the academic support they need, with an experienced and proactive study support department on hand to offer specialist help to students who need additional support throughout their time at college.

Our Hub drop in service works with students to help improve levels of resilience and mental health and wellbeing, and these services to combine to ensure all students get the most out of their time at Peter Symonds.

Jessica Mitchell, student, said: “All the support services are honestly amazing and always there to help if things are difficult in any way. The whole community at the college is warm and friendly and they want students to succeed and get the best out of their college experience.”
