A PERSON jumped from a first floor window to escape police in Fordingbridge.
A PCSO on footpatrol in the town to deal with antisocial behaviour discovered a strong smell of cannabis coming from a first floor window.
A post on the Ringwood Police Facebook yesterday (Saturday June 11) said that when enquiries were made at the door a "male jumped from rear first floor window to escape police".
The male has been identified following enquiries and return visits are planned.
The post added: "Cannabis is illegal and though not as dangerous as class A drugs, does bring misery to communities with organised criminal groups involved in exploitation of vulnerable persons, modern day slavery & violence.
"If you know someone who is dealing cannabis call Ringwood team on 101 in confidence so we can deal or alternatively phone crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
