A CONSTRUCTION site in Salisbury was broken into and a piece of equipment worth around £1,000 was stolen. 

Wiltshire Police say it happened between approximately 6.50pm and 8.20pm on June 18 at the site in Stratford Road.

A DeWalt chop saw was stolen during the burglary.

Officers are investigating the incident and are appealing for information. 

A police spokesperson said: "Officers are investigating the burglary and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of St Lawrence Church between these times."
