FIREFIGHTERS came to the aid of a dog locked in a car.
A fire crew from Ringwood was called to Winston Way at 8.30am on Wednesday, June 22.
The fire service said the owner, who was in attendance, was concerned as the vehicle was parked in direct sunlight and a breakdown company was more than an hour a way.
Firefighters gained entry to the car.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: "One fire engine from Ringwood was called to Winston Way at 8.30am after a dog got locked in a car.
"The owner of the car was in attendance and was concerned as the vehicle was parked in direct sunlight and a breakdown company had been called but was more than an hour away.
"Firefighters gained entry to the car and left at 8.52am."
