A MAN was attacked by a a large group of youths in Salisbury. 

Police say the incident happened in Queen Elizabeth Gardens and Crane Bridge Road at around 11pm on Monday, June 27.

A statement issued by Wiltshire Police said: "A man in his 20s was left with bruising to his face and ear following what is described as an assault involving a large number of suspects aged between 13 and 15 years old.

"The man was repeatedly assaulted during the incident which started in Queen Elizabeth Gardens before spilling out onto Crane Bridge Road."

Officers investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to contact South CID by calling 101 and quote the crime reference number of 54220067017.
