Alice and The Mad Hatter transformed the city centre into a wonderland for the Salisbury Street Sellers event.

The event took place on Sunday (July 10) in the Guildhall and Market Square.

Visitors had the chance to meet the colourful characters as well as enjoy a free Mad Hatter's tea party, craft workshops and a game of croquet.

A special area was set up in Market Place for storytelling throughout the day.

Salisbury City Council’s business and communications manager, Joanna Wood said “Over 300 children enjoyed a very sunny Mad Hatters tea party with Alice in Wonderland on Sunday at our monthly Street Sellers’ Market.

"We use a different theme each month to encourage local families into Salisbury to support our local craft traders, start-up businesses and food vendors with pitches starting at just £10. Keeping our city lively is an important priority for Salisbury City Council”

There were also a range artisan stalls for people to browse around while listening to live music and sampling the different food and drink on offer from vendors.

Salisbury Street Sellers takes place on the second Sunday of each month.

The monthly events, which are organised by Salisbury City Council, are designed to celebrate traditional crafts, products and produce.

The next Salisbury Street Sellers will take place on August 14.
