Road closures

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all users: Bridleway 6 (Part), Ramsbury; from its junction with Footpath 8C, Ramsbury for a distance of approximately 290m in a south easterly direction to enable to undertake works associated with planning permission.

Alternative route via public rights of way network and alternative route provided. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

This Order will come into operation on August 29 and the closure will be required until February 28. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible. 

Extension of pedestrian crossings

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 extension of pedestrian crossings – A3102 High Street, Royal Wootton Bassett

Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes to extend the number of zig-zag markings at existing pedestrian crossings on A3102 High Street, Royal Wootton Bassett, as part of safety improvement works to widen the crossing points and upgrade the signal infrastructure.

Comments on the proposal together with the reasons for which they are made should be sent in writing or via the website to reach the Sustainable Transport Group by September 2 quoting reference HKB/TRO/WBAS.

Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to amend the following restrictions in the Royal Wootton Bassett Consolidation Order 2016 by revoking Map Schedule Nos BO68 and BL69 dated 11/03/2016 and replacing them by the insertion of revised Map Schedule Nos BO68 and BL69 the effect of which will be as follows: 1. To revoke the current parking Monday to Saturday 8am-6pm two hours no return within two hours and replacement with No waiting at any time on the following lengths of road: High Street – north side – from a point 42 metres north east of its junction with Station Road for a distance of 6 metres; High Street – south side – from a point 42 metres north east of its junction with Station Road for a distance of three metres.
