A WOMAN from Berwick St John’s wanted to share her thoughts about the tranquility and beauty of the Wiltshire countryside after her family stayed with her recently.

Scarlet Leatham 66 said “My daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren came here for a week’s holiday from Dulwich in London. It is lovely and green there but, it’s not the same as here.

“We are so lucky here, but I think people forget that sometimes.”

The holiday was all about the simple things in life enjoying family picnics and exploring the countryside. Harry aged 6 and Max aged 3 went pond dipping at Cranborne Chase and had fun exploring for bugs and playing with sticks.

While out walking with their father in the countryside just outside of Tisbury, they sat for a while enjoying the view across the landscape and soaked in the peace and quiet enjoying the moment.

Scarlet added: “It sums up the importance of being in the countryside.”
