Taste Salisbury is planned to be "bigger and better" this year and the foodie festivities will kick off in less than two weeks.

The ten-day-long food and drink festival will take place from August 26 until September 4.

It will celebrate and showcase the wonderful array of food and drink venues, producers and sellers that can be found in the city and local region.

Salisbury BID, Salisbury City Council and Experience Salisbury are working in partnership to produce the exciting city-wide fiesta, with events, exclusive offers and special menus planned for the duration of the festival.

Dan Collins, Salisbury BID business manager, said: "Last year we launched the first Taste Salisbury and it was such a success we wanted to bring it back again but bigger and better!

"We have more events planned, more discounts and more business involvement. It has been great to see the Salisbury business community come together and support our vision to celebrate and promote local food and drink.”

The Great Salisbury Bake Off

Salisbury's take on the Great British Bake Off will return for a second year, and the mayor of Salisbury is looking forward to it.

Cllr Tom Corbin said: “We are thrilled to be involved in Taste Salisbury once again and shine a light on the city’s fantastic food and drink.

"Thousands descended on the Market Place for Foodie Sunday last year and with stalls, demonstrations and entertainment planned for this year’s event, we will make sure Taste Salisbury ends with a bang!

"I am especially looking forward to the Salisbury Bake Off, so if you are a whizz in the kitchen, make sure you enter!”
