CUSTOMER service of the highest quality and excellent teamwork are vital in the hospitality industry.

That's the view of Bob Fanton, general manager of the Milford Hall Hotel in Salisbury, which has 45 staff and was the winner of the Tourism and Hospitality award.

"It's a team effort," said Mr Fanton, "we are very proud of what we do.

"We strive to deliver a personal service and are committed to excellence.

"We have a high level of repeat business and we only deliver that by exceeding the expectations of the guests.

"We are the highest rated hotel in Salisbury and we intend to stay that way.

"It is awards like these that give us inspiration."

Mr Fanton said the hotel's conference and banqueting facilities were currently undergoing refurbishment and would be finished next month.

Presenting the award was Bill Browne, publisher of main sponsor Salisbury Newspapers.
