A MAN has been sentenced by the courts for committing motoring offences while at the wheel of a tractor.

David Allen Brown, aged 55, drove the John Deere tractor in Ringwood Road, Bransgore, on August 27 last year when he was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence and did not have insurance.

Brown, whose address was given as Grosvenor Gardens, Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to both offences when he appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on November 29.

The defendant was issued with a £400 fine with orders to pay a £40 surcharge and £85 costs.

A deputy district judge issued the offender with a discretionary driving disqualification for six months.
