A DOWNTON man has been jailed for nine years.
Michael James Hughes, 35, of Lode Hill Caravan Site, Downton, was sentenced in Bournemouth Crown Court today (December 22).
Hughes was found guilty of two charges of blackmail, two charges of kidnapping, one charge of dangerous driving, one charge of assault by beating, and one charge of driving while disqualified.
Hughes demanded £200 cash from his victims.
All of the offences Hughes was convicted of took place on February 2, 2022.
He first appeared in Poole Magistrates Court before being sent for trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.
