A PUPPY training club is up and running by a duo with more than 35 years of experience.

Diamond K9 Dog Club was started at the end of last year by Ebbie Wilson and Diane Thorne.

It is a not-for-profit dog club based at Hale Village Hall, and they are open to serving the people of Romsey and surrounding areas.

The six-week puppy class costs £60. Ebbie said: “We teach sit, down, stand, wait, come when called and loose lead walking. We allow puppies to socialise.

“We show people how to meet and greet people as well as other dogs. We will give owners as much knowledge and hands on experience as puppy is ready to take on board.

“All puppies are different some learn faster than others. We are here to help the public and their puppy have the best start in life and will help with any teething problems they maybe experiencing.

Salisbury Journal:

“Then we have our second class which is hugely important as this class helps get the dog through their most difficult growing up stages. These stages can be quite challenging for us owners as they are such things as jumping up, mouthing, barking, too grown up and confident to listen, reactivity and the list goes on. This class is for any adult dogs as well. It is £5 pay as you go.

“Anyone who would like to compete we also have our third class. Which is a high level competitive class. This class again is £5 pay as go.”

The classes are held at Hale Village Hall, and the owners have said they are open to people in Romsey and surrounding areas.

Ebbie said: “We are both qualified trainers and I am a qualified behaviourist and Diane is now going through the behaviourist qualification.

“We have 35 years of experience between us so Diane and myself decided to join forces and I think we have a lot to offer and share with the community helping them and their dogs have the best starts in life as well as working through the difficulties of older dogs.”

The class only has a few spaces left in the February class. For more details, visit the club's Facebook page at facebook.com/Diamond-k9-dog-club-108917135381991/.
