Here are some of the public notices that have been posted in Salisbury this week. 

Road closures

Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

Laverstock Road, Salisbury; from its junction with Bourne Avenue to its junction with Manor Farm Road to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge investigation and associated works.

Alternative route via Manor Farm Road – Shady Bower – Laverstock Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on January 18 and the closure will be required between the hours of 9pm and 5am for one night. 

Salt Lane (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Greencroft Street to its junction with St Edmunds Church Street. J) Greencroft Street, Salisbury; from its junction with Bedwin Street to its junction with Winchester Street to enable BT to carry out overhead equipment for connection and associated works, Alternative route via Bedwin Street – St Edmunds Church Street – Pennyfarthing Street – Milford Street – Guilder Lane and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on January 20 and the closure will be required between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm for one day.

The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
