THE air ambulance and multiple police crews responded to a medical incident in Amesbury on Friday afternoon.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance confirmed it attended a medical emergency in its helicopter at 16:09 on Friday in Amesbury.
Wiltshire Police also confirmed it attended an incident in Beacon Close, Amesbury.
The force said: "This related to the sudden death of a man in his 70s. There are no suspicious circumstances."
An eyewitness told the Journal there was three police cars at the scene at around 5.30pm that afternoon.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 16.09hrs on Friday 20 January to an incident in Amesbury. We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, a responding officer, an operations officer, a doctor and an air ambulance.”
