THE Salisbury Journal has opened a new office in the city centre.

After around a year of operating out of a room in Sarum College in The Close, the Journal is now located in Milford House, Milford Street, and the team is there from 9am to 5.30pm, every Monday to Friday.

As well as new offices in the city centre, the Journal has also launched a podcast, called On Point.

The first episode featured an interview with Salisbury MP John Glen, and you can listen to it on Spotify here.

Or you can find a write-up of the interview here.

Editor Kimberley Barber said: “We are so excited to be moving into a permanent office in Salisbury city centre.

"For the past year we have been working out of Sarum College and we have been grateful for them hosting us, but we are eager to get into our own place.

"I am especially looking forward to being able to meet readers."

Letting agent Myddelton & Major acted on behalf of the building’s landlord in the deal.

Dean Speer, from Myddelton & Major, said: “it will be great to see the Salisbury Journal’s office re-open in the city centre, as the hub for bringing news and events to the Salisbury population and beyond.

“They have taken a new five-year lease.”

The Journal will be having a grand opening event in the coming weeks, and the details of this will be released soon.
