This was also in conjunction with DNA evidence recovered at one scene.

He said: “I am pleased that our investigation has led to a good court result today. The sentence reflects the damage that he has caused to the victims and to the wider community.

“I hope this provides some closure to those affected by his offending and reassures the public that we are committed to tackling those who cause the most harm to our communities and will bring them to justice.”

Ringwood Neighbouring Policing Team, Police Sergeant Rob Ford said: “The apprehension and successful conviction of William Sheen has taken considerable resources from the Ringwood, Fordingbridge, and New Milton Beat teams.

"The sentence reflects the insidious nature of these crimes and the effect that they have had on the victims.

"Sheen committed these offences with no regard to the communities he resided in at that time purely to support his lifestyle.

"The community values of both Ringwood and New Milton are reflected in his sentence and as a district, we are committed to ensuring that the residents of this area uphold these values."
