January is full of 'new beginnings' and our Salisbury Journal Camera Club members have beautifully captured the essence of 2023's first monthly theme.
There was broad scope to be creative this month and our camera club did not disappoint with its submissions.
The winner of January's theme 'new beginnings' was Terry Waldron who took a photograph of a batch of newly hatched sparrows being fed in his back garden.
He said: "[It was] a real pleasure to sit quietly in the garden and watch the parent bird coming in with food regularly during the day.
"The birds know we are there but provided we do not move and merely observe they continue the need to keep the young birds fed."
