A MAN stole parts while working in a car warehouse and sold them on EBay, a court heard.

Chris Dymott, of Avon Terrace, stole Ford parts worth £4159.40 from Foray Motor Group over a period in October 2021.

The 47-year-old pleaded guilty to taking parts while working in the warehouse stockroom and listing them on EBay under his own name.

A Ford brand protection employee found the listings, which matched parts that had been classed as missing from the warehouse, and reported them to Foray.

At Salisbury Magistrates' Court on Friday, February 24, the court heard that Mr Dymott "couldn't remember" how much he had sold or made from selling the stolen parts.

He had worked at the warehouse, in High Post Business Park, for "a couple of years" before committing the thefts.

The defence argued that some planning went into the thefts but that Mr Dymott was "simply taking [the parts] out of the place".

Mr Dymott was sentenced to complete 200 hours of community service in 12 months and pay £4159.40 in compensation to the business.
