A HOUSEBUILDER has said it will help the Old Sarum wildlife community by holding a bug hotel building event.

Between 11am and 3pm on Saturday, April 22, visitors can join expert landscape gardener Russell Laugharne of Blackberry Gardens in Bristol, who will explain how to make an outside home for local wildlife and bugs before the building commences and visitors get hands on.

Bovis Homes marketing manager Sarah Hembrow said: “With spring well and truly here now – and ahead of National Gardening Week – we thought it would be fun to hold a bug hotel building workshop. Homebuyers can join in the fun and learn how to create a bug hotel from materials, which is something the whole family can get involved in!

Bovis Homes is committed to helping the local wildlife and we’re also installing hedgehog highways at the development to enable hedgehogs to roam freely to find food, mates and shelter.”

Longhedge Village is a development of three, four and five-bedroom homes with areas of open space and play parks.
